Day one( night visit to Song Dynasty City , enjoy Song Dynasty Performance )
At first I thought the place would be a bit boring but then when I went to the place it was filled with a lot of pretty lights and the houses were surprisiling made of wood. From this I can say that we will be learning about the old history of China. At the Song Dynasty City there were haunted houses, there were many shops selling toys and food and doors of temples. There were many chinese characters on the doors of the temples. Then we went to the Song Dynasty Performance. When the performance started, the place was filled with a lot of energy. They first started with a funny performance, then four performances about the history of China . What struck me most was the birthday celebration for the king performance. It struck me the most because of what the people did with such a huge amount of spirits and it really impressed me.

Day 2( wahaha factory visit and tea museum and tea plantations )
At first I thought the wahaha visit woul be a bit funny because of its name but I had learn a lot from the factory visit. The most interesting thing that thoughtme the most was the boss of wahaha factory. He had outstanding leadership and is a very creative person. I remembered when people from a few countries opposed their drinks but despite the fact that the odds were not in his favor, he persevered on. When he faced the people that opposed the factory, he made them think and reflect and soon the people did. It opposed their drinks. I found the boss creative because he found different ways of helping the company to sell his wahaha products and he made his own plastic bottle to save money.
The tea plantation was huge and was filled with different varieties of tea plants. What was interesting to me was the mini lamp post. There were many of them and when I ask the tour guide she answered that those are for trapping insects. She said that when it is night time, they would switch on the lamp post and the light would attract insects to it and kill them and the plants would not bie harmed by any insects. She also thought us the correct way to take a tea leaf from the tea plant. At the tea museum, a lady prepared three different teas. The teas were chrysanthemum , red and green tea. The lady told us about the benefits of each tea and it was quite interesting to learn about the benifits of the tea.

Day 3( Tunxi ink factory, visit Cheng Dawei Abacus Museum, Tunxi Ancient Street, HongCun and Xidi ancient villages. )
When we went to the Tunxi ink factory, when we were a few blocks away, we could smell the fragrance of something like a tree. When we reach there, the tour guide told us that that was the smell of their ink from the Song tree. We went up by stairs to see how they made the ink. We saw two strong  men making the shape of the ink by using various tools. The tour guide told us that the hammer weighs more about 5-7 kg. after that we went to see how they use gold paint to put over the ink. When we went into the room, the room smelled like a shop that was selling nail polish. It was so strong that some of us could not take it and went outside of the room. After that we went to the shop where they sold ink.vthere were hundreds of ink and all were very nice. Some of us went to try out by using the ink they have write " 立化" on the paper. After that we made our way to cheng Dawei abacus museum. In there we could see what seem to us as prehistorical abacuses. The placed was filled with different abacuses maybe the oldest I saw was 200 years back. Some abacuses were colorful, huge, golden and one looked like a mini computer. One of them were made by bones. There was a picture that shocked everyone whereby from far the picture looked like it was a painting but up close it was made by iron strings. We were all shocked. After that we went to Tunxi ancient street where we had time to buy some things. The placed were filled with food, toys, calligraphy items and paintings. It was a huge street! As the class walked down the street we noticed that there were many repeated stalls that sold the same thing. I think the clay stall was the most repeated stall among the other stalls. As we walked down the street, the items started to get cheaper and cheaper. After that we went to HongCun and Xidi ancient village. The villages were huge and the houses were mostly made of ceramic or maybe a hard material. As we walked along, we saw this huge chunk of meat in both villages. We also went to many houses and the tour guide told us about how to tell from a rich and a poor house. It was to tell from the door. We also went to a very rich man house and the tour guispde told us that he had four different ways of protecting his daughters from robbers. After that, went we were going to the half moon river, the tour guide told us the reason why there were like drains around the village. He said that if you got lost, just follow the flow of the river and you would be able to get out. When we reach the half moon river, it was a sight not to be missed. The river reflected the buildings like a real mirror.

Day 4( climbing huangsan )
First from our hotel, we had to walk to a bus place where we had to take the bus to one of the cable cars station. The road was very curvy and I think now I know why cars and buses are prohibited to go up this road as it is very dangerous. We took the tickets from the tour guide for the cable car and we went up by groups into the cable car. As it was raining, there was A lot of mist and fog. Because of that we could not really see the beautiful sights of huangsan. The cable car ride was very smooth. When we reach the otherwise of the cable car station, we started to climb the famous huangsan. It was quite dangerous as the steps were huge and steep making it very easy for someone to get injured. We walked down the mountain and walked up towards the peak of the mountain. The tour guide told us that it was quite sad for us today because of the weather conditions and thus causing it to be very foggy. As for this reason, we cannot really see the beautiful sights of mount huangsan. We saw a lot of Song trees and many beautiful flowers there. At the peak, there was multiple Song trees cluster together and it looked like a dragon. At the peak it was really steep and some of us fell but was not injured. After that we walked down and saw a tree that was dragons feet or claw. After the hiking, I noticed that the mountain has a lot wing that is very cold and the weather up there is unpredictable.

Day 5( Meiling company and school exchange programs. )
In the way to Meiling company, our teachers told us to find what is the name of its brand in Singapore. When we walked in, the place was filled with different types of refrigerators from 1976 to this very year. From old to super high tech refrigerators where by they have fridges that plays music and tells you when does that item expire. They also showed us the interior design of the fridge and how does the frigde funtion. After that we went to the factory where there were many different parts of the fridge being made. There were huge machines making these products. One machine caught everyone's eye where the machine secures the box with the fridge with something like A rubber band. We were all so curious that one of the classmates asked the tour guide how does it stick so well. The tou guide showed us how it funtioned and we all understood it. Then at the factory there were many fridge that were in different names. The person told us that they had made different ties with many people around the world and by using their fridge, they use that company name. I found it a good idea as both sides is at a win win situation. We saw toshiba and we asked the tour guide whether it was the singapore brand and he said yes. It was a fun trip at Meiling company. Next was what the whole class was looking forward to and that is the school exchange programe. As we drove passed the school we could see how huge and beautiful the school really is. When we went into the school, the principal gave us a warm welcome and we went into a room for a debrief. At first I thought the students were bad but went I went into their class, they were all very helpful and kind. I really regretted the way I thought about them.

Day 6( half day school exchange programme and visit to the supermarket. )
The school exchange programme was really fun as we made new friends and had a whale of a time. The people in my group were really understanding and helpful. When there was something I did not understand, they would straight away help me. In China, they learn their subjects all in chinese and it was quite difficult as my chinese was not really that great. But my China friends took the extra mile and helped me by translating what the teacher said in English. They also prepared goodies for us and we could tell that they had put in a lot of effort into it. I was really touched by them. After that we had to go to the supermarket to research on the difference in the cost of living between China and Singapore. The supermarket was huge and it was quite hard to find the ITE s that were needed for the research. It was a really fun experience finding the stuff that we needed to find.

Day 7( visit to buddy house, bookstore visit, visit to university of arts. )
We went in groups of three or fours to our buddy house. All of our buddy house were nearby and it took about 5-10 minutes to get there. The buddy house was very huge and we started to play some games. The mother thought us some magic tricks and it was quite fascinating to watch how she did it. After that we went to help them to prepare dumplings for the lunch. We made about 6 trays of dumplings and it was quite fun. The mother thought us how to make a good one too. After that, the mother took out the dishes she hade made and the sight was amazing. We took the food and it tasted great and we told jokes to one another and had a great time. After that we went to the anhui university of arts where we had learned about the performances of anhui. First we watched a performance by students playing about two siblings in love. It was quite nice to watch as it was magefficient. After that we went Into a room where there was this guy telling us about the history of music of anhui. He played the drum like there was no tomorrow. After that he thought us some moves and it was pretty interesting. After that we went to a bookstore where it has 6 levels. It was the biggest bookstore I had ever seen in my entire life! We went up and went down deciding on what to buy and we bought a lot of things. I bought a notebook.

Day 8 ( high speed rail, Hai Di Lou)
At first I thought the high speed rail was very fast and the ride would be unpleasant but I was wrong. In the train you could feel nothing and it felt very comfartble. A lot of us slept in the train and the train ride was about four hours. After that we met our old driver and we were all very touched because he had drove for 6 hours straight to hangzhou. We took the bus and went to Hai Di Lou restaurant. We were given a warm welcome and the workers there were very good. Our aim was to learn why the workers are so kind. Even at the toilet there would be someone serving you. The performance that was really interesting was when they were serving the noodle to us. They almost had all the workers to do it and dance along with the music. It was something that I could not have forgotten. After we ate, when we were going out, they gave us all a small treat and it was delicious. Their service is surely the best I had seen.

Singapore youth culture
Now a days Singaporeans in my opinion have a lot of stress. From people that work till young students that study face stress everyday. However despite all this, Singaporeans like too use their phones and watch k pop, chat with friends and play games. A lot of Singaporeans also like to say singlish and a lot of  the people enjoy it.

FOOD

The children of heifei like to make moon cakes with moulds during Chinese New Year. What strikes me the most is that the children are making moon cakes for Chinese New Year. We children in Singapore do not even make moon cakes during Chinese New Year but just buy moon cakes from stores and visit our relatives houses. I saw a picture of the children of heifei that were making moon cakes. The children were younger than me. Some of them look like primary 2 kids that are learning how to make moon cakes. I think the folks that look quite nice by the picture I saw and I look forward to going to heifei.

 Merlion

Is the Merlion a good representative of Singapore ? I would say yes as the Merlion is the first thing that comes to mind when people say Singapore . Mer in the Merlion stands for the sea and lion in the Merlion stands for the history of Singapore . In the past, there was a man that was named Sang Nila Utama that came to an island. He saw an animal on the island and asked his helpers what was that creature name. The helpers replied and said that that animal was a lion. Sang Nila Utama then named that island singapura. Later on the island named singapura changed to Singapore. The Merlion is also a unique creature and a unique icon that is something worth remembering.

Remembering lee kuan yew

Although most people saw singapore was a goner during the past, there was a man that changed singapore from a third world country to a first world country. This man is none other than mr lee kuan yew. Due to his help, singapore is one of the richest countries in the world and is a great tourist attraction. Singapore also has one of the best airlines, one of the cleanest countries and one of the best education systems in the whole world. Mr lee kuan yew also said that what has he got? A successful Singapore. What has he sacrificed? His life. This line says a lot of things about mr lee kuan yew. Singapore can be considered as a golden age because of mr lee kuan yew help in turning Singapore from a kampong village to Singapore now in such a short time.

China's economy

China economy has been growing the past few years. I remembered in one of the CID lessons, our teacher showed us a picture. The picture showed a train and two people pushing a cart. The train was from China and the two people were from Japan. Our teacher told us that the picture tell us that China   Is going to catch up to Japan very soon and this shows how fast China economy is. I think that most of our daily items are normally made in China. With so many goods and products coming from China, many countries would want to work with China. If singapore does that, hopefully it will help increase business rates in Singapore.

One-child Policy

In China, there is this rule the parents only can have one child. In the CID lesson, our teacher showed us a video and the video told us that parents can now focus only on their one and only child. They said that their parents can focus on them and they can be better educated as their parents can use their money on only one child. In Singapore, the birth rate is declining rapidly and now there is a lot of pressure if u are the only child in the family. If there is more elderly than healthy and educated young children, it will have a lot of pressure on the next generation

 My December Holidays (Jing Wen)

My holidays were mostly spent going back to school for badminton training and I went to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The badminton team had to go back to school three times a week and the traning sessions were three hours for each session. Although traning was tiring, I still had a lot of fun with the team. In the team if someone is giving up, the teammates would help and encourage that someone to not give up and continue to train. The tournament for sports are around the corner and I hope that our effort would pay off and I hope we can get west zone top 4.

In Kuala Lumpur, I went to visit my grandfather and my two aunts. I played chinese chess with my grandfather but I lost 3 times in a row. In kuala lumper, I also went to many shops to get a new school bag. We went to viva shopping mall, mid valley shopping mall, jusco shopping mall and ioi shopping mall. We went to converse, world of sports and many other shops just to find a school bag. I found a school bag at  a stadium shop. I am very happy that I found a school bag.

Poverty in Singapore ( Cheng Jing Wen)

Although singapore is considered one of the richest country in the world, there are still families who are very poor and families whose income are lower than other people. Every week when I walk to tuition, I will always walk past a tunnel and I see a few people sitting on the floor and begging. Every time I see people walking in the tunnel, they always walk past the beggars like the beggars are invisible. Only some king hearted people would put their hands in their pocket and take out notes or coins. I think the government maybe can help the beggars on the street by donating a sum of money to their homes or family.
